Conviction Politician

Gordon Brown has praised Margaret Thatcher for being a "Conviction Politician".

I'd agree, but in my world once I'd convicted her, I'd pack her off to prison.

Are we in a situation like in Russia where old folk long for the return of Stalin, because they forget just how horrid he was ?

Is Maggie undergoing a postmodern retrospective where she is portrayed as something other than a tyrannical fruitcake with a Napoleon complex, from whose damaging reign this country is still failing to recover ?

If that weren't enough it seems New (so-called) Labour is also employing her old advertising guru, Lord Smarmy Up-Himself Saatchi.

New Labour is becoming the Anti-Labour in a way that reminds me of a Woody Allen joke :-

We were married by a reformed rabbi in Long Island.
A very reformed rabbi.
A Nazi.

I don't know how you can say such things. Without the blessed Margaret, and not forgetting to include Saint Tony, Britain wouldn't be the nation it is today.

And which is why I no longer live there.

Aaargh! Couldn't have put it better myself. They are Tories! Broon embraced PFI for feck's sake, it's only fair that he acknowledge the teat he's sucked from.

I keep hoping they don't bury her at sea, because I want to tap dance on her grave!

  4. I'm still in shock. It's like the bit in "Animal Farm" where the pigs start walking on two legs - it's finally proof that you've been well and truly fooled again, and they've stopped even pretending to be on your side.

  5. I loathe Maggie with every bone in my body. She was responsible for the demise of my hone-town.

I didn't want Brown taking over and after just a few weeks, he's proved to me thgat everything I suspeected was right...he's a nonce.

When are we going to get someone who has a rational brain?

You're not the only one to spot the Animal Farm analogy, I think I saw someone use it in the Grauniad. Imagine what plastering that photo across billboards in Scotland would do to Labour's share of the vote up here!
